Boucle métal Ursul posée sur lanière de cuir noir, gros plan de la matière

Ursul Craftsmanship: The Art of Uniting Leather and Metal

Between industrial precision and artisanal gesture, Ursul brings leather and metal into dialogue to create jewelry and accessories of rare refinement. Each piece is imagined, designed, and shaped in France, honoring both leather-craft and jewelry savoir-faire.

lanières artisanale de cuir de couleur fabriqué en France

A French craftsmanship faithful to the hand.

In Paris, our artisans handcraft Ursul bracelets, each piece hot-stamped with the Hand Made Paris label.

Our belts are made in Mazamet, in EPV-certified workshops, guardians of exceptional leatherworking expertise.

This dual heritage — Parisian precision and the tradition of the South of France — preserves a local craftsmanship where the human hand remains at the heart of every creation.

Sélection des peaux pleine fleur, main inspectant le grain du cuir dans l’atelier

The choice of noble leathers.

We select only full-grain leathers from renowned French and Italian tanneries. Tanned using bark or natural plant extracts, they develop a patina over time, revealing the authentic beauty of the skin’s natural texture. Each hide is chosen for the finesse of its grain and the density of its substance — living leathers that define the Ursul signature.

The precision of the gesture.

In our workshops, the hand converses with the tool.
The craftsman measures, adjusts, and calibrates — not from obsession with the millimeter, but in search of that perfect balance where the material yields effortlessly.
This pursuit of precision defines Ursul’s aesthetic: pure lines, gentle tension, and subtle curves or recesses that recall the letter U, the discreet signature of the house.

Craft in Motion.

Cintrage d'un bijou en metal ursul

Creations designed in every detail.

Buckles, clasps, bangles — every element is designed by Ursul in Paris, then shaped in Haute-Savoie, cradle of exceptional micromechanical savoir-faire.
From the first sketch to the shaping of the metal, each stage reflects the same demand for precision: finding the perfect line, the ideal curve.
Our creations arise from the dialogue between structure and fluidity — between the architect’s line and the artisan’s hand.
Nothing is standardized: every jewel is conceived, designed, and shaped exclusively for Ursul, by Ursul.

The finishing touch.

The final stage of crafting concentrates all the rigor of manual work.

Hot edge-stitching, polishing, soldering, assembly — every operation requires extreme attention.

Under the artisan’s hand, the leather softens, the metal gleams, proportions find their harmony.

This final gesture gives each creation its personality, its softness, its precision.

Atelier Français de fabrication des ceintures en cuir Made in France Ursul

A local and living craftsmanship that preserves excellence.

In Paris, the Alps, and Occitania, our partner workshops perpetuate France’s finest jewelry and leatherworking traditions. This close link between creation and fabrication embodies the excellence of “Made in France” dear to Ursul.
From hand to form, from leather to metal, our objects reflect a contemporary craftsmanship — exacting, enduring, and alive.

Revealing the beauty of the raw.

Before becoming jewelry, metal undergoes multiple stages: cutting, soldering, polishing, satin or mirror finishing. Under the artisan’s touch, the material refines and brightens. At Ursul, beauty emerges from this dialogue between the rigor of design and the warmth of the hand — the meeting of leather and metal, of idea and craft.

At Ursul, savoir-faire is not a static heritage but a field for innovation. Each creation pushes the boundary between craftsmanship and contemporary design.
